This is a perfect little bottle for short runs. I had formerly run with a 4 oz plastic bottle that I found at a beauty supply store of all places. Needless to say, it got a little sweaty in my hand, and it was a pain to carry. This bottle is 10 oz, but it has a little pocket for my car key (or map!) and of course it has the velcro part so it doesn't actually require a lot of effort to hold it. I take this on my 4-6 mile short runs and it is perfect.

I am very pleased with the FUELBELT SPRINT 10-OUNCE PALM HOLDER WITH POCKET that I recently purchased here on amazon.com. My other palm held hydrator (aka water bottle) was just too bulky and weighty at 22-oz. With this summer being exceptionally hot here in the east, even in the early morning when I like to run, carrying this small water bottle along for the jog is a must. I do have a minor complaint, though. The pocket is really not big enough to hold much more than a car key or a house key. Still, this is a terrific way to keep hydrated on a long walk or a short run during the "dog days of summer." Highly recommended (5 STARS)

I own a fuel belt and find it bulky and heavy, so I was looking for a replacement for short-mid distance runs. I've found this works for up to 8 miles if it's not too hot out. The bottle is angled to fit in your hand better, which makes it fit in the holder funny, but it's never slipped out or anything. I actually just bought a second one because I like them so much for weekday runs.
